Templates
1,464 layouts across 5 categories, generated rather than drawn one at a time. Opening one makes a document of your own — nothing stays linked back to it.
A real canvas
Text, shapes, pictures, icons, charts and tables, with snapping, rulers, pullable guides, groups, layers and z-order. Undo is per gesture, so a drag is one step back rather than sixty.
Logo maker
Type a name and get a grid of finished marks. Any one of them opens in the editor as an ordinary design you can take apart. Deterministic, so the same request gives the same grid and a new roll re-rolls it.
Type
9 built-in families, 9 named text treatments and curved text. Upload a .ttf or .otf and its real Latin-1 character widths are read out of the file and stored in the document — so the design keeps its shape even after the font is deleted.
Brand kit, in one press
Your colours and type, offered first in every picker. Rebrand maps colours by luminance rank rather than by list position, so the contrast the layout was designed with survives, and the Check tab reports any pairing that needs attention.
The Check tab
Contrast measured against what is actually behind the type, type size against the canvas, missing alt text, and elements off the page or buried under something opaque. Findings are advice: nothing here blocks an export or edits your document.
Magic resize
Change the canvas and bring the design with it, in 3 named ways. They genuinely disagree about what to do with a layout, so each one tells you what it will cost before you press it.
Motion, and a presenter
Each element declares how it enters and leaves; each page declares how long it holds. Play it back on a timeline, present it full-screen on black, or export it as video.
Charts and tables
Not pictures of charts — real ones you can rotate, group, animate and restyle like any other layer. Paste tabular or CSV-formatted text from a spreadsheet or text editor, and the figures land on the page.
Generated artwork
12 pattern fields, 32 gradients, 29 stickers and 65 icons — authored maths, all still editable once placed. Plus 15 blend modes that behave identically on the canvas and in the exported PNG.
Comments, pinned in place
Leave a remark at a point on a page. Comments sit alongside the design rather than inside it, so they never turn up in an export and an undo cannot wipe out somebody else’s note. New comments refresh while the design is open.
Search and folders
Search reads the words on the page, not just the title, and tells you which page it found them on with the line it found. Folders are just names, so filing something is a rename and nothing gets lost behind one.
Version history
Snapshots with a preview and a one-line summary of what changed, a labelled undo stack you can jump around in, and the ability to put a single page back without touching the rest.
Email signatures
4 hand-written layouts producing HTML you paste into Gmail or Outlook. Tables and inline styles, because Outlook renders mail with Word — so what lands is selectable text with working links, not a picture of a signature.
It works under a finger
Pinch to zoom, long-press for the element menu, and below a laptop width the rail and the inspector become bottom sheets. The same editor with a different class list, not a cut-down phone build.
⌘K opens everything, and there are 23 shortcuts across 7 areas. Every key the editor listens for has its own reference page, drawn from the same data the command palette reads — so the two cannot come to disagree about a chord.
1,464 generated layouts, and zero contrast errors across all of them
Layout families, visual moods, copy sets and canvas sizes combine into a library that covers campaigns, events, products, profiles, announcements and editorial work.
Every generated template runs through the same readability checks used in the editor, and the complete library is held at zero contrast errors in the test suite.
Every layer remains editable: type, colour, shape, spacing and composition all open as ordinary canvas elements.

Choose the format, scale, quality and page scope in the editor. File-size estimates and format-specific controls update before export.

One workspace for the whole team
Designs, uploads, brand assets, signatures and review comments live together in the workspace, so everyone you invite works from the same library.
4 roles separate workspace ownership, editing and review. Viewers can open, present, comment and export while editors manage the work.
Design Buddy is currently available without a payment step, usage meter, or workspace quota. A workspace owner can also export its designs, uploads, and settings as a backup file.
Sharing a design
Publish one at a link, and anybody holding it can open the read-only design and download it as PNG files or one PDF, without creating an account.
Each link reaches one design, can be revoked at any time, and leaves the rest of the workspace private.
Where your work lives
- Designs, uploads, comments, and brand assets are scoped to your workspace.
- Rendering, browser export, and background removal stay inside Design Buddy.
- AI providers receive content only when you invoke an AI-assisted feature.
- Workspace content is not used to train a Design Buddy model.
